THE TRASURE MADNESS - TRIP TO COMICSTAN QUEST

Born in 1926, René Goscinny was really fond of drawing and humour since his childhood. Both writer, humorist, scenarist and art director, René Goscinny had a huge impact in the french comic's world. His international fame largely contributed towards the spread of the French culture. After creating many books for the children, he began working on a new creation in 1959. With his friend Uderzo, he began an adventure which changed his life by creating his most famous character, Asterix. The series follows the exploits of a village of indomitable Gauls as they resist Roman occupation thanks to their magic potion. The success of Asterix grew from year to year, to finally became one of the most popular icon of Franco-Belgian comics. Even the death of Goscinny in 1977 hasn't stopped the success of the little gallic man's adventures. Today the series is still among the most translated ones, with 107 different languages and dialects. This week TM honors this great author thanks to the 7 new maps, including a VIP one, and the 7 new collections, including a premium one!
