Earth sciences are in favour this week! Each year since 1998, American Geosciences Institute organizes an Earth Science Week. This event is the occasion for everyone to learn more about the mysteries of the Earth and its history. Sensitive to environmental and scientific questions, TM invites you to explore the wonders that are present all around our beautiful blue planet. Excavate the remains of ancient civilisations and discover the immense diversity of human history, while finding some treasures each one more incredible than the last. Learn about palaeontology and trace the existing links between the different living species, from the first marine animals to the earliest humans. Survey the slopes of the volcanos still active and anticipate the next eruptions thanks to seismographs. Cross the desert and dig the rocks to study the different geological layers before establishing a global model of plate tectonics. Prepare your ice axes with the aim to climb the most challenging glaciers. There you will take spectacular photographs! After this getaway on the highest points of the Earth, immerse yourself 20,000 leagues under the sea to meet strange and still unknown creatures. A real sci-fi film! Finally, back in the comfort of city life and take time to visit the Natural History Museum of London.
